Sunday I took advantage of the cold winter weather and went out into the forest for a shoot in my 6 years old costume.
I still like the costume so much.
Some small improvements have since been made on it and a new wig was bought and styled.
Unfortunately, back then you didn't found on the internet, good reference pictures of this dress, so I made the sleeves a little bit wrong, but maybe at some point I change this part again, if time, desire and budget are optimal.
I love Tim Burton and I love his movie Sleepy Hollow!
I know Katrina is wearing many great dresses in the movie and this one has only a few seconds of screen time, but it's so typical Burton and pretty and bizarre I want to do badly!
The shoot was incredibly enjoyable, but it was also incredibly cold.
Although I still had some layers of fabric underneath, to keep me warm, but that was of no advantage to you, if you dig through the snowed forest.
I have kept the make-up discreet deliberately - pale skin, a slight gray shadow around the eyes, no mascara.
In the film Katrina has very blonde eyebrows and eyelashes, so that it works very natural and free of make-up.
My eyebrows aren't as bright by nature, so I've given my best to make them not too flashy.
I won't them bleaching or otherwise making them as inconspicuous as possible, because my face would look really stupid with it.
I hope I meet Katrina's style and charisma far.
I like her very much and love to slip into her character-role.
